REALTORS® Care Award for the Central Okanagan Press Release

Recognized for giving back to his community – locally and globally, Jesse East of RE/MAX Kelowna is the recipient of the REALTORS® Care Award for the Central Okanagan.  

Jesse is recognized for tirelessly and selflessly donating his time to many volunteer efforts, and is especially focused on raising funds for cancer research. He has been instrumental in organizing many events to benefit the BC Cancer Agency. Every year, he organizes a team for “Movember”, and this year true to form, raised the most money on his team to benefit prostate cancer.

Jesse generously took September 2010 off to drive across the country filming and driving for a team of cyclists that were raising money for cancer research. And, he continues to participate in the annual Vancouver to Seattle “Ride to Conquer Cancer” charity bike event. To date, his efforts have raised more than $9,000 for this charity.  He also rides in ‘Spokes for Kids’.

He continues to sponsor a young boy in Africa through World Vision in order to enrich the youngster’s quality of life and to help his community become a better place in which to grow up.

This is the sixth year OMREB’s Central Zone has recognized the exemplary efforts of its members at its annual REALTORS® Care Awards. Jesse was named the 2011 recipient of this prestigious award during a presentation at the Zone’s holiday luncheon on December 9th.
